President

Becky Weiland ~ Centennial

Becky Weiland has been a teacher at Centennial High School since 1991. At Centennial Becky directs a 10-12th Grade Symphonic Band, a Ninth Grade Band, Woodwind Choir, and Jazz 2. She is the woodwind specialist at Centennial high school teaching all woodwind lessons. Other "extra" duties are shared equally amongst the high school band staff. Prior to Centennial Becky began her career teaching in Menahga, MN. A graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College, Becky remains active playing saxophone with the Bend In The River Big Band and for the contemporary service at her church. Becky lives in Plymouth, MN with her husband, Jeff, and two kids – Katie and David.

Jan MacDonald ~

Janet MacDonald started her public music education teaching career in 1979 in Riceville, Iowa after finishing a Bachelor degree in K-12 Vocal/Instrumental Music from Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa. Since then she has taught at Cambridge High School, and adjunct faculty at The University of Minnesota Duluth and University of Wisconsin Superior until her most recent assignments with the Lake Superior School District in Two Harbors, MN. Janet has served many years on the state board of the Minnesota Music Teachers Association in the capacities of State Convention Committee, Sightplaying development administrator, and educational development programs director. She has served as adjudicator of Wisconsin and Minnesota Region and State Contests. In addition to teaching she serves as Organist and Director of Music at Concordia Lutheran Church in Duluth as well as free lance accompanist. Janet has also been directing the Two Harbors City Band over the last 15 years.

Michael Moeller ~ Centennial Middle School

Michael Moeller has been a teacher in the Centennial District at Centennial Middle School since 2006. At Centennial Middle School, Michael works with bands in grades 6-8, Symphonic Band, Brass Choir and teaches lessons to brass students. Before coming to the Centennial District, Michael taught in Barnum, MN. Michael is a graduate of Wartburg College and is currently pursuing a graduate degree in music education at the University of St. Thomas. Michael is active outside of the school day maintaining a private lesson studio, performing on euphonium and trombone, and as an adjudicator. Michael lives in St. Paul with his wife, Rachel.

Christine Ringen ~ Centennial

Christine Ringen is beginning her 13th year of teaching band this year. The past 10 years she has been teaching middle school band at Centennial Middle School in Lino Lakes. Prior to teaching at Centennial, she taught three years in Madelia. At Centennial, she works with a team of three other band directors that all teach ensembles grade 6-8, group lessons, and extra ensembles. Christine is a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College and her primary instruments are bassoon and saxophone. She lives in Centerville with her husband and 2 children.

Pam Bauman ~ Duluth

Pam Bauman is in her 16th year of teaching Band. She has been teaching Elementary Band at Lowell Elementary School in Duluth for 9 years. Previous to Duluth, Pam taught 4 years at Northfield Middle School and 3 years at Wabasso Jr/Sr High School. Pam is a graduate of the College of St. Benedict. She lives in Hermantown with her husband and three children.
