President
Chuck Weise ~ Farmington
cweise@farmington.k12.mn.usCharles Weise currently works a band director in Farmington, MN. His responsibilities include concert bands, lessons and music theory at the high school and an 8th grade band and lessons at the middle school. In addition, he co-directs the pep band and Tiger Marching Band and directs the winter drumline and percussion ensemble. Prior to Farmington, Charles taught in the Mounds View public schools. In MBDA, Charles co-chairs the Young Band Literature session with Paul Kile, seeking out new and time tested pieces for young band. Charles holds Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of St. Thomas in both Music Education and Music Performance. Charles and his wife Katie reside in Apple Valley.

Christine Gustafson ~ Houston
chris.gustafson@houston.k12.mn.usChristine Gustafson currently serves the students and community of Houston, MN as their Instrumental Music Educator and Director of Bands. After beginning her teaching career in inner-city Milwaukee, following that up with teaching for a number of years in the suburban school district in Chaska, she currently is experiencing the life of teaching in the small rural school district in Houston. What a ride it has been! Not a day goes by where she doesn't learn or discover something new.
Chris received her undergraduate degree from Hamline University in St. Paul and her Master's Degree from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Chris is involved in all things musical in Houston and the surrounding communities. She lives in rural Houston with her husband, David, and two daughters, Ellen and Brenna.

Peter Gepson ~ Triton
pgepson@triton.k12.mn.usPeter Gepson is originally from Fort Calhoun, NE. He holds degrees from Northwestern College (IA), and the University of Nebraska. He began his teaching career in Virginia, MN, and taught seven years for the Triton Public Schools of Claremont, Dodge Center, and West Concord, MN. He currently teaches at Albert Lea High School where he conducts three concert bands and two jazz ensembles.
Mr. Gepson currently plays euphonium in the Owatonna Community Band and lives in Albert Lea with his wife Nicole and two children Jack (8) and Emma(5).

Matt Dockendorf ~ Lakeville South High School
mpdockendorf@isd194.k12.mn.usMatt Dockendorf is currently the Associate Director of Bands at Lakeville South High School. His teaching duties include: Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Marching Band, Jazz Band, instrumental lessons, Beginning Guitar, and Music Appreciation. Matt also directs the drumline and percussion ensemble. He is the Assistant Conductor of the Calhoun Isles Community Band which meets in Minneapolis and performs concerts around the metro area. In addition to his teaching duties, Matt plays percussion with the Minnesota Symphonic Winds. Matt holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, and currently resides in Minneapolis.
9-10 Honor Band Coordinator
Levi Lundak ~
lelundak@rochester.k12.mn.usLevi Lundak current works as the director of bands for Rochester Century High School. His responsibilities include Symphonic Winds, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Marching Band, Jazz Band, and the Pep Band. Prior to Rochester Century he taught in St. Paul at Humboldt High School. Levi holds a Bachelors degree from Winona State University in Instrumental Teaching.
Beginning Band Festival
Beth Tradup ~ St. Bernard School
btradup@saintbernards-school.orgBeth Beebe Tradup has been the Director of Bands at Saint Bernard's School in Saint Paul, MN since 2000. Mrs. Tradup is responsible for directing the Concert Band, Preparatory Band, Beginning Band, Spring Musical Orchestra, Bulldog Band, Jazz Combo and Drumline to students in grades 5 to 12. In 2002 Mrs. Tradup implemented The Saint Bernard's Honor Band as a performance outlet for talented middle school musicians in Catholic schools.
She received her Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Northwestern University in 1986 and a Master's degree in Instruction and Curriculum from the University of St. Thomas in 2000. Beth Tradup has been Principal Percussionist of Grand Symphonic Winds and has served as percussion coach for the MBDA Honor Bands. She currently performs with the Kings House Band, Minneapolis Civic Orchestra and local pit orchestras.
